The Omni Scottsdale resort is upgrading its rooms. Here's a look

Jan 31, 2024

A Paradise Valley resort distinctive for its blend of Spanish and Southwestern design influences is preparing for its biggest makeover in 15 years.

The Omni Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Montelucia announced a multimillion-dollar renovation that will include remodeling nearly 300 guest rooms, 100,000 square feet of meeting space and the pool cabanas.

The aim is to modernize the hotel with a lighter color scheme while keeping with its tradition as a Spanish-influenced oasis. Reimagining its look and feel shows how the resort is "constantly evolving and improving," general manager Rob Goins said.

The centerpiece of Montelucia's renovation will be an overhaul of the 293 guest rooms, including 38 luxury suites and two presidential suites.

Each room and suite will feature:

"They're going to notice a lot of the new fabrics and materials we're using, it really brightens up the space," Goins said. "(The renovation includes) light and bright colors that give the space a modern look but keeps the unique Spanish feel of the resort."

The hotel will also renovate its more than 100,000 square feet of meeting space. It will be redesigned to include a pre-function space, and individual meeting rooms will feature individual color schemes and furnishings that maintain the feel inspired by an Andalusian courtyard.

Meeting spaces will include new carpeting, wall covering, paint, artwork, banquet chairs and tables.

The pool cabanas, patio furniture and the furniture at Centro and Prado restaurants will also be updated. The cabanas' outer shells will be replaced and there will be new furniture and ceiling fans.

"It goes off that same lighter feel we're trying to capture in the guest rooms, bringing new fabrics, new chairs, new tables to give it a fresh new look," Goins said.
